August Month Activity: Know Your Local Government

August month activity was conducted on 22/8/2023

Students were able to understand the role and structure of the Local Government
Students were given different local issues.
Students were able to describe the structure and role of the local government in context to resolving a local issue.

January Month Activity: We Are Community

January month activity was conducted on 19/01/2023
1. Students were shown the interdependence that exists in our society
2. Students were made aware about the interdependence and its importance in their own life
3. Skills – Analytical skill, Team Spirit, and Communication skills.

February Month Activity: Pride in India

February month activity was conducted on 15/02/2023
1. Students were able to think about the uniqueness of their country as compared to the other countries.
2. Students acquired knowledge about diversity in India.
3. Students will be aware of different areas where they should feel proud as an Indian Citizen.
4. Students were able to creatively display their own feelings about India.

July Month Activity: Mock Elections

July month activity was conducted on 21/7/2022
1. Students elected the ACTIZENS’ Club’s office-bearers democratically.
2. Students understood the procedure involved through action, activity, and participation.
3. Students understood the importance of voting in a democratic country like India.

August Month Activity: My Identity In India

August month activity was conducted on 17/8/2022
1. Students were made aware about various documents required for citizens of India.
2. Students learnt the importance of having some critical documents.
3. Students also identified some important documents, information available on these documents, etc

September Month Activity: My Local Government

September month activity was conducted on 6/9/2022
1. Students were made aware of the concept of local government.
2. Students were able to understand two types of local government for rural and urban areas.
3. Students were able to get an overview of work done by local government in their area.
4. Students were able to comprehend the functions of the local government.

October Month Activity: Pass the Bill

October month activity was conducted on 17/10/2022
1. Students were exposed to the process of making laws in their country.
2. Students understood the value of making and following law and order in the country.
3. Students learnt through experience about the role of Cabinet and government in making law.
4. Students gained knowledge about parliamentary processes, code of conduct, and the importance of laws.

November Month Activity: My Democractic School

November month activity was conducted on 15/11/2022
1. Students were exposed to the concept of ‘democratic schools’.
2. Students understood the pros and cons of having of democracy in school.
3. Students applied their learnings to make their school more democratic.

December Month Activity: Fundamental Duties

December month activity was conducted on 14/12/2022
1. Students learnt to apply the awareness messages made by them in their immediate environment.
2. Students experienced first-hand the process of becoming engaged citizens
3. Skills – Strategy Creation, Team Spirit, Outreach and Communication skills.
